The “Smile-Makin’ People” at Fischer’s wanted to launch social media accounts and promotions that were as joy-inducing as their products
Since 1904, the Louisville, KY-based Fischer’s has delighted generations of families with their time-honored recipes for hot dogs, bacon, lunchmeat and more. With distribution across one-third of the U.S., Fischer’s wanted a nimble and cost-effective way of reaching their fans. They looked to NewPoint to launch a social media strategy and build a social following basically from scratch.
First, we defined Fischer’s target audience. Then we developed an editorial calendar that mixed paid social to reach new followers with organic content to keep those new followers engaged.
Product giveaways, seasonal recipes and downloadable coupons were the primary tactics. These tactics supported brand awareness, drove product trial, and built a social following. In the first year of managing Fischer’s Facebook account, new followers increased by 572%.
